Lear Family Foundation

The Lear Family Foundation is a private foundation, created in 1997 by Lyn and Norman Lear, to support a wide range of nonprofit organizations across the country. Areas of support include civil liberties, education, the environment, health, youth initiatives, civic activism, media and the arts. In addition to its annual commitments to the Norman Lear Center at USC Annenberg School for Communication, People For the American Way, the Environmental Media Association, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and the Sundance Institute, other examples of organizations and institutions supported by the Lear Family Foundation are:
